William Goehring, DDS
Meet Dr. Goehring
William J. Goehring grew up near Houston, Texas. He graduated with honors from The University of Texas at San Antonio Dental School in 1983. After graduation he was commissioned into the United States Air Force where he completed a General Practice Residency at Langley AFB, Virginia in 1984. He practiced general dentistry for five years at Randolph AFB, Texas prior to entering an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. After completion of his residency training in 1993 he was assigned to Maxwell AFB, Alabama where he served until 1995. His last assignment was at Yokota AFB, Japan where he held the position of Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He entered private practice in Montgomery, Alabama in 1997 and opened Alabama Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Goehring is a past president of the Second District of the Alabama Dental Association, a member of the Alabama Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Alabama Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has given educational presentations in numerous locations to include Honolulu, Hawaii, Seoul, Korea and Tokyo, Japan.
Dr. Goehring and his wife, Tammye, have been married since 1980. His children are: Jacob (wife Michelle), Laura Spanjer (husband Stephen), and Scott and granddaughters Elsie, Addie and Alex; grandsons Max and Will. He is active at Eastwood Presbyterian Church where he serves as a deacon. He is a member of the Board of Eastwood Christian School. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf, hiking and snowskiing.
